I mentioned earlier that there was a pallet of Animated toys in the back room at work, and I finally had a chance to pull it down and take a peek.  Apparently the toy department at my store is due for a modular update for calendar week 20 (which is next week), so apparently they're waiting until then to put them out.  I don't know whether this is the case with every store, though I suspect it's pretty much universal. What's interesting is that all the cases of Deluxe toys were wave 2, which makes me wonder what happened to wave 1.  In any event, the case assortment was Optimus Prime (x1), Bumblebee (x1), Ratchet (x2), Lockdown (x1), Prowl (x1), and Blackarachnia (x2).  Strange that they'd double-pack a comparatively minor character like Blackarachnia but not the obvious Bumblebee or Optimus Prime.  Ratchet seems an odd choice, too, but maybe kids really love the fact that he's all grumpy and broken and stuff.  I dunno. There was also a Battle Pack with Optimus Prime and Megatron that retails for $19.76, which also came with a DVD.  We got some Voyager- class toys in, too, but I didn't look at those. Anyway, it looks like stores will be putting these out next week, so watch for 'em. Zob

I believe that the Voyager case assortment is one each of Cyb- Megatron, Bulkhead, and Starscream.  Unfortunately, I found four Bulkheads, four Starscreams, and zero Cyb-Megatrons at my local Wal- Mart yesterday, so I have to wonder it the scalpers grabbed up all of the Megatrons in the morning. - Chad

I think the thing you have to keep in mind is that this is a wave 2 assortment, that would ordinarily be going to stores after they got wave 1 (if this series hadn't been held back).  Wave one had 2 of each of Optimus, Bumblebee, Prowl, Lockdown, so when stores *would* have been getting the wave 2 restock about a month later, there would be more demand for the two new figures in the assortment - Blackarachnia and Ratchet - while still offering one of each of the first four to keep them on shelves longer. -griffin.

Kishin- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text -  I think it cooler that Wal-Mart has an ATT insider. BTW, theyve started to pop up here. Saw 2 BA's and a Ratchet at a Super Walmart in Marysville, WA. After seeing them, I think I'll pass. I will get the Dinobots, though.
