I am using mk4ht to create html files using htlatex. I find that figures are sometimes mixed up (when I have multiple figures). Usually, the second figure (regardless of which figure it is) appears without a caption. Then figure 3 gets caption 2, and so on, throwing everything off. Later in the document, one of the figures is repeated (usually the last one), so that the last figure gets the last caption (its almost as if mk4ht belatedly realizes that it has a mix-up on its hands and tries to stuff the box, so to speak). The corresponding pdf from the document does not show anything like this. Has anyone seen any thing like this happen ? If so, what is the workaround (assuming there is one) ?
