I am looking for a wall oven. Need feedback on whether gas or electric (have a choice), convection or regular. Am limited to a 24 oven. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each one?

Am limited to a 24 oven. What Ch are the advantages and disadvantages of each one? By and large electric ovens are superior to gas (more even heating, much easier to clean) and convection ovens are preferable to conventional (cook more rapidly and evenly). There are a few exceptions. But the foregoing applies for just about all general purpose, home use. Joel

Am limited to a 24 oven. What : Ch are the advantages and disadvantages of each one? How about a Thermador CMT120 electric oven? It's a convection, microwave, thermal self-cleaning oven all in one (that's what the CMT stands for). It's big bucks (about $2200 in stainless steel) but I had an older version Thermador microwave/thermal double oven for 8 years and loved it. If you've got enough height, you can go with the CMT220, which is the double oven version.

I already have a microwave built in to a wall niche above my wall oven, so don't really need another one. Indeed, I had a thermal/convection/microwave oven several years ago and didn't care for its performance; however, you might like it depending on what kind of cooking/baking you do. Anyway, I am not certain about what sizes are available for the KitchenAid wall oven. Mine is the standard width (27 I think). Due to the type and quantity of baking I do (I bake all our own breads and pastries, and lots of meals, and I like to put LOTS of stuff in the oven at the same time
