I live in Melbourne and am looking for a cheap copy of Microsoft office (including Word, Excel, Access) that can run on Windows '98. Office '97 would be fine. Why bother. Open office, which is free, shits all over it Open office is undoubtedly a poorer piece of software, but it will do the job.

What you need to get is MS Office Professional as it has MS Access in it. The cheapest way of getting any version of MS Office is to get somebody who is a student and get them to use their student card to get a copy of MS Office Professional Academic. The cheapest way is to get it via a p2p file sharing network.
