I want to purchase a high quality photo printer.  The Canon 950 looked really good and has 6 individual ink cartridges. Has anyone used this printer?  How does it stack up to other photo printers? Thanks.

Thanks. Tom's Hardware did a review of the i850 model... They said it was amazing - the best, if not one of the best, inkjets on the market.

Lucas, does that mean that they think the i850 is better than the i950? I saw a picture printed on the i950 and it was fantastic but at Office Max, they said they had lots of returns and trouble with Canon printers so they stopped carrying them.  Any thoughts on this?

Thoughts? Yeah, they no longer carried Canon printers and couldn't make a commission on something they didn't sell so they made up a bullshit story for you. I am on my third Canon printer (S820) over the past 8 years or so and I have never had the first minute's trouble with any of them. I can't say the same about Epson and HP. The i850 is a step below the i950 in Canon's product lineup so the 950 will give you even better results than the 850 will. I have the S900 and love it.  I'd buy the i950 in a minute.  It's 2 picoliter rather than 4 picoliter drops can only make for superior printing. Though the printer isn't expensive, Canon paper and inks aren't cheap. The combination of Canon paper and Canon printers, however, does make for outstanding  prints.
